The Greatest Cell Phone Myths Ever

Cell phone myths are like urban legends to the computer generation. I know I love to read about what some genius spread online that got people putting in codes, cracking open their phones open and starting gas station fires. Here are my favorite cell phone myths.

  1. If you type in a special code into your cell phone you can unlock a special battery reserve.
  2. If you are on a plane and you use a cell phone...the plane will crash!
  3. Using your cell phone at a gas pump causes can ignite the fuel and cause a fire.
  4. Using a cell phone in a hospital can kill some patients who are on machines.
  5. Dial 112 in the United States when there is no coverage if you have an emergency. It’s just like calling 911
  6. Prolonged cell phone uses puts off radiation and can cause brain cancer
  7. Forget Pop-a-Lock, use your cell phone to unlock your car door
  8. Carrying a cell phone in your pocket everyday can lower a man's you sperm count

To some of us, the smart one's at least, some of these are obvious myths. However some of these myths, like talking on a cell phone while pumping gas, even I thought that one was true!

Oh well, sometimes even the best of us get suckered into urban legends.
